Job summary

Ascension is hiring a Registered Nurse for the Labor & Delivery unit at Saint Thomas Midtown in Nashville, TN. This role focuses on implementing and monitoring patient care plans, coordinating multidisciplinary care, and executing physician and nursing orders.

The position requires obstetric nursing experience, appropriate licensure, and completion of required certifications. Night shifts, full-time hours, and a strong team environment are offered with comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• Advanced Life Support within 6 months of hire date
• BLS Provider within 1 month of hire date
• Neonatal Resuscitation credentialed from AAP within 6 months
• Licensed Registered Nurse credentialed from Tennessee Board of Nursing or multi-state license (Compact State) prior to hire

Responsibilities

• Implement and monitor patient care plans. Monitor, record and communicate patient condition as appropriate.
• Serve as a primary coordinator of all disciplines for well-coordinated patient care.
• Note and carry out physician and nursing orders.
• Assess and coordinate patient's discharge planning needs with members of the healthcare team

Education

Diploma from an accredited school/college of nursing OR required professional licensure at time of hire
