Job summary

HCA Healthcare, through TriStar Centennial Medical Center, seeks a Registered Nurse to provide direct patient care within the RN scope of practice. You will deliver compassionate nursing care, document care, and participate in a team that upholds patient safety and privacy.

The role emphasizes age-appropriate assessments, clinical skills, and alignment with the hospital’s mission. The position requires a BSN or ASN, 1 year of RN experience, BLS, and TN license or a compact licensure.

Qualifications

• Degree from an accredited School of Nursing (BSN or ASN).
• Minimum 1 year RN experience.
• Mother Baby experience preferred.
• BLS certification.
• Current licensure by Tennessee Board of Nursing or Compact State.

Responsibilities

• Utilize therapeutic communication in daily practice, maintains a safe therapeutic environment and identifies nursing problems related to patient needs.
• Demonstrate age-specific knowledge of human growth and development, assessment, range of treatment and care of patients.
• Ensure the privacy of patients and confidentiality of PHI as a core responsibility.
• Utilize the nursing process for individual care and document all patient care.
• Show ability to perform technical skills, follow procedures and exercise critical thinking.
• Coordinate care that supports the hospital's mission and vision.

Job Summary and Qualifications

The Registered Nurse performs direct patient care within the scope of the Registered Nurse Practice Act.

What you will do in this role:

• You will utilize therapeutic communication in daily practice, maintains a safe therapeutic environment, and identifies nursing problems as they relate to the individual needs of the patient.

• You must demonstrate age specific knowledge of human growth and development, assessment, range of treatment and care of patients.

• Ensuring the privacy of our patients and confidentiality of their Protected Health Information (PHI) is core to your role.

• You will utilize the nursing process for individual care to meet needs of patients and document all patient care.

• Your role demonstrates the ability to perform technical skills, follow procedures, and show critical thinking.

• You will provide care and coordinate participation that fosters the goals of the hospital's mission and vision statement.

What qualifications you will need:

• Your degree from an accredited School of Professional Nursing (B.S. or A.S.)

• 1 year of RN experience required

• Mother Baby experience highly preferred

• BLS

• Current licensure by Tennessee Board of Nursing or Compact State
