Job summary

PIMCO is seeking an experienced investment accounting professional to lead the Middle-Office Transformation program. You will shape accounting requirements, guide systems and processes, and act as the central accounting expert for the program and beyond.

The role demands strong accounting skills, broad investment knowledge, and the ability to engage across front, middle, and back offices. Location options include New York, Austin, or Newport Beach, CA.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in business, finance, or related field; MBA desirable.
• 10+ years of experience in middle office IBOR accounting, fund administration, performance reporting or related functions.
• CPA and/or CFA designation preferred.

Responsibilities

• Define target state accounting needs across Middle-Office transformation workstreams.
• Oversee design, testing, and issue resolution; communicate status to leadership.
• Serve as accounting SME and advise on complex transactions and corporate actions.
• Produce executive-ready status reports, dashboards, and metrics.
• Coordinate change readiness, UAT, training, and governance for the transformed state.
