Job summary

PIMCO, a global leader in active fixed income, is seeking an experienced investment accounting professional to lead the Middle-Office Transformation initiative. You will define accounting requirements, guide systems and processes, and serve as the central contact for accounting considerations during the transformation and beyond.

The role requires strong accounting technical skills, excellent communication, and a proactive approach to drive change across front, middle, and back offices.

Qualifications

• Minimum of a bachelor's degree, preferably in business, finance, or a related field. An MBA designation is desirable.
• Minimum 10 years of experience in middle office IBOR accounting, fund administration and accounting, performance reporting, or related functions.
• Strong knowledge of fixed income and derivative accounting, with emphasis on asset income and yield-related accounting.
• Demonstrated success leading major technical or system migrations or transformations involving third-party vendor solutions and software platforms.
• Experience leveraging technology, AI, data, and automation to improve business processes.

Responsibilities

• Program Design and oversight - Define target state accounting needs and oversee program plan across a range of Middle-Office transformation workstreams.
• MOT Accounting SME Oversight - Serve as an accounting subject matter expert and provide enhancements for processes and controls.
• Policy Decision Support - Support key accounting policy decisions during the transformation.
• Program Reporting - Produce executive-ready status reports, dashboards, and program metrics.
• Change Readiness & Training Coordination - Design and implement readiness assessments, UAT, and training activities.
