Job summary

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in chemistry, geology, biology or environmental science or closely related field.
• Six months of experience in natural resource protection or related area.
• Ability to read and interpret scientific reports and apply findings to operations.
• Valid Florida Class E Driver's License for duration of appointment.

Responsibilities

• Conduct mosquito control operations and respond to citizen inquiries.
• Schedule and oversee adulticide and/or larvicide treatments as needed.
• Ensure safety standards for personnel and equipment in pesticide operations.
• Maintain records of operations and information for public requests.
• Advise staff and management on inquiries, problems, and resolutions.
• Travel to site locations to investigate localized mosquito problems.
