Job summary

Bay County in Panama City, Florida, seeks a Technician to support mosquito control operations. You will inspect ships and equipment daily, manage chemical inventory, and perform routine field duties to keep the operation running smoothly.

The role requires reading MSDS, using GPS trackers, and assisting in larvaciding and adulticiding programs. A high school diploma and Florida driver license are preferred; training toward Public Health Applicator license will be provided.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; experience in ground maintenance or related field preferred.
• Valid Florida driver license required.
• Ability to obtain Public Health Applicator License within one year of hire.
• Strong MS Word, Excel and Outlook skills.

Responsibilities

• Inspect trucks and equipment daily; replenish chemical inventory.
• Perform monthly chemical inventory and ensure smooth operations.
• File MSDS and use GPS tracker for Larvacide/Adulticide operations.
• Assist in larviciding/adulticiding programs and calibrate equipment.
• Identify mosquito breeding sites and handle waste disposal as needed.
