Job summary

Telhio Credit Union is seeking a Mortgage Associate to serve as a gateway between Mortgage Loan Originators, members, and internal processing teams. The position focuses on data gathering, file accuracy, and timely submission through the mortgage cycle.

You will back up MLO activities, manage data flow, and run automated campaigns via Surefire CRM to drive referral business and member engagement.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 1-3 years mortgage lending experience.
• Knowledge of Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac underwriting regulations.
• Knowledge of FEMA regulations and requirements.
• Knowledge of Equal Credit Opportunity Act.
• Experience underwriting to investor regulations.
• Knowledge of Telhio loan products and services.
• Time management and attention to detail.
• Active listening and effective written/oral communication.

Responsibilities

• Evaluates and organizes every file for completeness and readiness for submission.
• Collaborates with members and MLOs to ensure submission checklist is complete.
• Assists borrowers with Telhio membership and collects upfront LVF prior to submission.
• Gathers items from members for MLOs, processors, and underwriters.
• Provides pipeline coverage for MLO in their absence.
• Ensures compliance with BSA/OFAC policies and regulations.
• Stays up to date on Surefire activities and marketing campaigns.
• Communicates with members in an organized, timely manner.
• Hooks follow-up with members or MLO within 24 hours of receiving a file.
