Job summary

First Tech Federal Credit Union is seeking a Manager, Mortgage Servicing in Hillsboro, OR. The role leads mortgage servicing operations across the loan lifecycle, ensuring regulatory compliance, member service excellence, and portfolio performance. The candidate will develop staff, coordinate cross-functional teams, and drive process improvements in a hybrid work environment.

Location: Hillsboro Corporate Office. Target compensation ranges from $104,000 to $125,000 annually plus an annual bonus.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in mortgage lending, servicing, loan operations, underwriting, processing, or related residential lending.
• Experience leading a diverse team with coaching and performance management.
• Strong mortgage lending experience across origination, underwriting, operations, servicing, or processing.
• Solid understanding of residential mortgage processes and regulatory requirements.
• Ability to manage teams and drive execution in a moderately complex environment.
• Structured problem-solving to resolve day-to-day operational challenges.
• Coordinate cross-team activities and influence outcomes.
• Experience with workforce management and department goal attainment.
• Strong analytical and organizational skills with data-driven decision making.
• Effective communication across teams and with stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day mortgage servicing operations ensuring member service excellence and compliance.
• Lead and develop servicing staff through coaching, scheduling and clear expectations.
• Oversee servicing activities: payment processing, escrows, lien verification, payoff processing, and related tasks.
• Ensure adherence to investor, insurer, regulatory, and CFPB requirements during audits and controls.
• Partner with leadership to implement servicing priorities and cross-functional initiatives.
• Drive process improvements by standardizing workflows and monitoring performance metrics.
