Qualifications

• 5+ years of mortgage origination experience, including leadership.
• Knowledge of FNMA/FHA/VA guidelines and Encompass LOS.
• Proven success in recruiting and developing Loan Officers.
• Active or previously held NMLS license preferred.
• Must reside within commuting distance of Oak Lawn, IL.

Responsibilities

• Lead, mentor, and grow the mortgage origination team.
• Recruit, hire, and train Loan Officers and sales support staff.
• Create onboarding and mentorship programs for new hires.
• Foster accountability, collaboration, and consistent results.
• Manage daily pipeline activity to ensure timely closings.
• Collaborate with processing, underwriting, and closing departments to resolve issues quickly.
• Maintain excellence in loan quality, compliance, and customer experience.
• Drive origination growth through coaching, lead management, and referral strategies.
• Track metrics (volume, pull-through, turn times, quality) and report results to senior leadership.
• Ensure production meets company policies, agency guidelines, and regulatory standards.
• Support Loan Officers in building and maintaining referral relationships with agents, builders, and financial partners.
