Job summary

Texana Bank is seeking a Mortgage Loan Processor to perform initial appraisal and underwriting support for potential borrowers. You will review income statements, assets, and credit reports, coordinate with underwriting, and ensure timely submission of files.

Strong customer–facing skills and regulatory knowledge are required. Based in Texas, the role supports Mortgage Operations, reports to the Mortgage Processing Manager, and involves ensuring accuracy, confidentiality, and compliance

Qualifications

Post-TRID knowledge is required.
Understanding of direct/indirect lending procedures.
In-depth understanding of relevant rules and regulations.
Strong organizational skills and detail oriented.
Excellent communication and sales skills.

Responsibilities

Identify customer needs, explore options, and suggest different types of loans.
Verify accuracy of system input.
Analyze file for program applicability.
Review documentation such as income, assets, credit report, verifications, appraisal report, preliminary title report.
Coordinate submission to underwriting and closings, as needed.
Submit files timely according to company standards.
Ensure compliance with regulatory standards.
Maintain confidentiality of bank and customer information.
Provide status updates to loan officers, borrowers, and agents.
Prioritize workflow for time-sensitive files.
Work with title companies to resolve discrepancies prior to closing.
