Job summary

Goldman Sachs in Dallas, Texas seeks an Associate in Loan Management & Due Diligence to support the trading desk through mortgage bid processes, evaluate loan pools, and load loan-level data into internal systems. You'll run analytics, prepare bid packets, and drive data quality across portfolios.

The role requires advanced mortgage modeling experience, SQL proficiency, and programming in Python or R to automate processes and generate client-ready reports for investment committees.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Quantitative Finance, Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business Analytics, or related field with 1 year of experience, or Bachelor's with 3 years of experience.
• Experience executing mortgage cashflow models and explaining drivers of different mortgage valuations and providing feedback to modeling team to enhance accuracy and predictability.

Responsibilities

• Analyze and stratify mortgage pools and run analytics for bid packets and investment committee materials.
• Monitor month-over-month portfolio changes across residential mortgage whole-loan and warehouse positions with the trading desk.
• Produce detailed monthly P&L, returns, cash flows, and collateral performance reports across multiple loan portfolios.
• Collaborate with transaction managers, due-diligence teams, and internal systems to reconcile post-bid settlement data.
