Job summary

Prosperity Bank in Corpus Christi is seeking a Full-Time Mortgage Loan Officer. The MLO’s main responsibility is to source new mortgage loans and guide applicants through the mortgage process. Candidates should have 3-5 years of experience in mortgage banking and understand consumer lending policies. Strong communication and analytical skills are essential. This position offers a dynamic work environment focusing on delivering quality service to clients.

The ideal candidate will have a high school diploma, with an advanced degree preferred, and NMLS certification. This role is primarily outside sales with regular interaction with clients.

Qualifications

• 3 to 5 years of prior mortgage banking experience, including knowledge of FNMA/FHLMC, FHA, VA.
• Knowledge of Bank consumer mortgage lending policies, procedures, and guidelines.
• NMLS certification required.

Responsibilities

• Source new mortgage loan business from leads generated inside and outside of the Bank.
• Take loan applications, and review the application for documentation support.
• Discuss mortgage related facts and issues with applicants concerning ability to repay.
