Navy Federal Credit Union in Vienna, VA is seeking a senior mortgage operations leader to plan and direct mortgage origination and production from application through closing. You will drive efficiency, quality, and risk controls while aligning lending strategy with executive goals.

In this role you will oversee staffing, underwriting standards, and change management initiatives, ensuring member service excellence and compliance with mortgage regulations across branches and centers.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or higher in a finance/business field; relevant experience acceptable.
• Expert knowledge of federal/state mortgage laws and regulations.
• Extensive experience leading mortgage processing/underwriting in a large institution.
• Strong analytical, forecasting, and modeling abilities.
• Proven ability to lead and develop staff and manage cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities

• Develop branch strategy and goals; align with organizational objectives.
• Direct operations to meet production and service targets.
• Monitor staffing and resources to ensure service standards.
• Drive continuous improvement to elevate service and reduce risk.
• Oversee underwriting standards and loan quality control.
• Lead change management initiatives across the mortgage unit.
• Provide leadership for strategic projects and programs.
