Job summary

RIHousing in Providence, Rhode Island is seeking a Customer Service Representative to serve as the primary liaison with borrowers in the Loan Servicing team. You will provide accurate information about RIHousing products, address billing inquiries, and resolve concerns via phone and email.

This in-person role requires cross-training across all customer service tasks, handling daily requests, and ensuring responses comply with CFPB and RESPA guidelines while maintaining positive borrower

Qualifications

• Three years of customer service experience in a mortgage or consumer finance setting.
• Strong customer focus, communication, listening, and analytical skills.
• Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office software.
• Bilingual ability preferred (Spanish or Portuguese).
• Business Certificate or associate’s degree in business administration or related field preferred, or equivalent work experience required.

Responsibilities

• Process daily customer requests including name/address changes and ACH setup.
• Research and resolve mortgage-related inquiries per investor guidelines.
• Prepare Welcome Packets and mortgage discharges in compliance with state laws.
• Assist with data mapping for manual conversions and training materials.
• Document all customer interactions in the system.
• Provide basic technical support for customers using the online portal.
