Job summary

Burke & Herbert Bank & Trust is seeking a Mortgage Loan Processor to handle processing of secondary market and in-house portfolio loans. Duties include gathering borrower documents, preparing disclosures, ordering reports, and submitting files to underwriting.

Qualifications

• Requires excellent customer service skills in person and over the phone.
• Knowledge of mortgage processes, lending basics, and regulatory guidelines preferred.
• Spanish language skills are a plus.

Responsibilities

• Process secondary market and in-house portfolio mortgage loans.
• Prepare or review disclosures to TRID guidelines.
• Act as liaison between underwriter, loan originator and client; provide status updates.
• Collect required documentation from originator and client; maintain and update files and records.
• Order title reports, verifications, flood certificates and appraisals; ensure compliance and privacy.
