United Bank in Griffin, GA is seeking a Mortgage Loan Processor I (on-site) to support mortgage loan officers by reviewing applications and uploading verification documents into the loan origination system.

You will communicate with borrowers and partners, monitor status from application to closing, and ensure compliance with federal regulations. The role requires attention to detail, good data entry, and teamwork in a community bank environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Previous loan processing experience preferred, not required.
• Proficient computer skills with spreadsheets, word processing, utilizing the internet/intranet and active engagement using new technology.
• Effective written and verbal communication skills.
• Detail oriented with strong organizational skills and the ability to multitask and meet deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Review and enter mortgage data in the loan origination system.
• Set up new loan application files following established procedures.
• Prepare disclosures and documents in accordance with regulations.
• Interface with customer and all parties on each loan from application to closing.
• Monitor loan status and communicate updates to all parties involved.
• Remain current on changes in laws, regulations, and technology affecting lending.
