Job summary

The Merrimack is seeking a detail-oriented Mortgage Loan Processor to join our Residential Lending team in a hybrid role based in Concord or Meredith, New Hampshire. You will manage mortgage loan files from application through closing and ensure documentation meets requirements, while collaborating with borrowers and internal partners.

Ideal candidates have 6–12 months of processing experience, strong attention to detail, and solid communication skills.

Qualifications

• Six to twelve months of mortgage loan processing experience.
• Knowledge of banking operations and loan processing.
• Ability to work with borrowers, lenders and vendors.

Responsibilities

Location:Hybrid role based in Concord or Meredith, New Hampshire

FSLA:Non-exempt, payable bi-weekly on Fridays

Pay Rate:Negotiable based on level of experience between $23.00 - $27.00

The Merrimack is seeking a detail-oriented and organized Mortgage Loan Processor to join our Residential Lending team and support borrowers through an important financial milestone.

In this role, you will manage mortgage loan files from application through closing, helping ensure documentation is accurate, complete and aligned with applicable requirements.

You will work closely with borrowers, Mortgage Loan Officers, underwriters and vendors to keep the loan process moving efficiently while providing timely communication and a positive lending experience.

Key Responsibilities

• Communicate with borrowers, lenders and third-party vendors to support timely loan file completion
• Review mortgage loan applications for accuracy, completeness and required documentation
• Prepare and send initial disclosures and re-disclosures within required timeframes
• Order appraisals, flood certifications, legal documentation and employment verifications as needed
• Review purchase and sales agreements, earnest money deposits, credit reports, income documentation and funds for closing
• Monitor the loan pipeline daily and provide timely status updates to Mortgage Loan Officers
• Submit files to underwriting, request additional documentation and prepare files for closing once cleared
• Maintain accurate information in the loan operating system and support compliance with applicable regulations

What We’re Looking For

• Six to twelve months of mortgage loan processing experience, preferably in a banking environment
• Knowledge of banking operations, loan processing and related regulations preferred
• Working knowledge of secondary market mortgage products
• Strong attention to detail, organization and follow-through
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to build effective relationships with internal teams, borrowers and external partners
• Solid working knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel
