Job summary

The Merrimack is seeking a Mortgage Loan Processor to join our Residential Lending team in a hybrid role based in Concord or Meredith, NH. You will manage mortgage loan files from application through closing, ensuring accuracy, completeness and compliance with required documentation.

You will collaborate with borrowers, Mortgage Loan Officers, underwriters and vendors to keep the process moving smoothly, while delivering timely communication and a positive lending experience.

Qualifications

• Six to twelve months of mortgage loan processing experience, preferably in a banking environment.
• Knowledge of banking operations, loan processing and related regulations preferred.
• Working knowledge of secondary market mortgage products.
• Strong attention to detail, organization and follow-through.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to build effective relationships with internal teams, borrowers and external partners.

Responsibilities

• Communicate with borrowers, lenders and third-party vendors to support timely loan file completion.
• Review mortgage loan applications for accuracy, completeness and required documentation.
• Prepare and send initial disclosures and re-disclosures within required timeframes.
• Order appraisals, flood certifications, legal documentation and employment verifications as needed.
• Review purchase and sales agreements, earnest money deposits, credit reports, income documentation and funds for closing.
• Monitor the loan pipeline daily and provide timely status updates to Mortgage Loan Officers.
• Submit files to underwriting, request additional documentation and prepare files for closing once cleared.
• Maintain accurate information in the loan operating system and support compliance with applicable regulations.

Pay Rate: Negotiable based on level of experience between $23.00 - $27.00

What We’re Looking For
