Job summary

Portland Federal Credit Union, Inc. in Michigan seeks a Mortgage Lending Analyst to support the Mortgage Department and assist Mortgage Loan Originators and members throughout the loan application process.

You will maintain knowledge of lending policies, aid with rate inquiries, submit files for underwriting, review appraisals, and ensure conditions are cleared while protecting member information. This role requires SAFE Act registration participation.

Qualifications

• High School Graduate or equivalent.
• Completion of specialized courses conducted by vendors is required.

Responsibilities

• Works with Mortgage Loan Originator (MLO) & members to ensure required documentation is collected during the loan application process for underwriting.
• Maintain thorough knowledge of lending policies, guidelines, and interest rates.
• Assist MLO and members with mortgage rate and product inquiries.
• Prepare, analyze, & submit complete files to PFCU underwriting department & Secondary Market underwriting and review files if approved through DU.
• Prepare and verify submission packages and submit to the various lending authorities for decision.
• Review appraisals for accurate information and submit to underwriting for approval.
