Job summary

M/I Homes is seeking a Mortgage Loan Officer to prepare documentation for FHA, VA and conventional loans and drive the loan process from origination through funding. You will collect documents, respond to inquiries, and coordinate with real estate agents, title companies, and mortgage operations teams to ensure timely submission and processing.

Ideal candidates have a high school diploma, one year of relevant coursework or training, and Texas Loan Officer licensure.

Qualifications

Customer-service oriented with strong verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to interpret and evaluate information relative to underwriting guidelines.
Excellent organization skills and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

Proactively manage the loan process from origination to funding and review documentation.
Collect required documentation and update team members on loan status.
Respond to inquiries from real estate agents, title companies, and mortgage operations staff.
Update internal software systems for reporting and submit loan packages for processing.
Set appointments with customers and attend weekly pipeline meetings with the builder.
