Job summary

Dort Financial Credit Union is seeking a Mortgage Loan Originator to build lasting member relationships and grow mortgage production. You’ll work with members, Realtors, and builders to identify suitable mortgage solutions and guide applications from inquiry to closing.

Ideal candidates have 1 year of origination experience (or 2 years in processing/underwriting/closing), active NMLS, and knowledge of FNMA/FHA/USDA programs. Join a community-focused lender valuing service and growth.

Qualifications

• Strong communication, sales and relationship-management capabilities are required.
• One year of mortgage origination experience or two years in processing, underwriting, or closing.
• Familiarity with FNMA, FHA, USDA, MSHDA and DU technology is preferred.
• Active NMLS registration is required.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications and finance basics.
• Associate degree in Finance/Business/Economics or equivalent experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Build relationships with members, realtors, builders, and referral sources.
• Identify mortgage solutions that meet members' financial needs.
• Educate borrowers on mortgage programs and lending options.
• Manage applications from inquiry through closing.
• Provide exceptional member service throughout the lending process.
• Stay informed on market conditions and regulations.
