Job summary

German American Bank is seeking a Mortgage Loan Originator to analyze borrowers’ finances and identify suitable mortgage products while building trusted relationships with referral partners. You will pre-qualify borrowers, collect needed information, and guide them through processing to close the loan.

The role emphasizes achievement of production targets, integrity, and delivering best-in-class customer service to clients and partners.

Qualifications

• NMLS State License or Federal NMLS Registration (or willingness/ability to obtain).
• 1+ years’ experience in real estate, mortgage or sales equivalent.
• Skills in entrepreneurial/business development and needs analysis.

Responsibilities

• Focus on sales and origination of 1-4 single-family residential loans within guidelines and rates.
• Analyze income, assets and liabilities to identify mortgage programs and pre-qualify borrowers.
• Follow up with applicants to gather information for processing, underwriting and closing.
• Cross-sell bank products and strive to meet volume/production targets.
