Summit Federal Credit Union in the Rochester/Buffalo/Syracuse region seeks a Mortgage Loan Originator to generate new business through calls, Zoom, and face-to-face meetings. Primary duties include originating mortgage loans, presenting programs, and driving growth via referrals with realtors and builders.

You will work 37.5 hours weekly, Monday–Friday, with starting salary of $25,000 plus commission, proven by experience and performance. Training and benefits are provided.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3–5 years’ mortgage loan originator experience.
• Education: Associate or Bachelor's degree.
• Must have valid New York driver’s license and reliable transportation.
• Willingness to travel as needed.
• Eligible to register as Mortgage Loan Originator (MLO) under SAFÉ Act.

Responsabilités

• Develop and maintain client referral relationships with realtors, builders, Summit branches, and member companies.
• Interview, pre-qualify and counsel applicants; obtain documentation for complete applications.
• Meet a production standard of 4 funded units per month; verify income and assets.
• Oversee loan approval status and ensure conformity with terms.
• Advise clients on advantages and disadvantages of loan products.
• Communicate loan status to all interested parties from application to closing.
• Prepare mortgage presentations for prospective clients, staff and member companies.
• Promote cross‑selling of credit union products.
