Job summary

Qualifications

Role Description

This is a 1099 comtractor, fully remote Mortgage Loan Originator opporunity. The MLO is responsible for guiding clients through the mortgage process from initial contact through closing. Daily tasks include consulting with prospective borrowers, collecting and reviewing financial documentation, and assessing borrower eligibility for various mortgage products. The Mortgage Loan Originator will prepare and submit accurate loan applications, coordinate with underwriters, processors, and closing agents, and ensure compliance with all lending regulations and company policies. The role also involves maintaining strong relationships with clients and referral partners, providing clear communication, and offering ongoing support to clients as they move toward homeownership.

Qualifications

• Mortgage lending skills, including experience with Mortgage Lending, Loan Origination, and Loans.
• Financial analysis and decision-making skills, including Underwriting and Finance.
• Strong client service and communication abilities, with the capacity to explain complex information in a clear, accessible way.
• Ability to work independently in a remote environment, manage time effectively, and handle multiple files simultaneously.
• Knowledge of residential mortgage products, regulations, and best practices; familiarity with Equal Housing and fair lending standards.
• Proficiency with loan origination systems and basic office software tools.
• Current or prior mortgage loan originator licensing in Alabama, or eligibility to obtain required state licenses.
• Relevant experience in mortgage brokerage, banking, or financial services; a background in sales or customer-facing roles is beneficial.
