Liberty FCU in Henderson, KY seeks a Mortgage Loan Originator to join our team at 349 Starlite Drive. The role involves interviewing borrowers, explaining programs, and gathering documentation to drive loan approvals in a fast-paced credit union setting.

The ideal candidate has 2–3 years of origination experience, excellent communication skills, and a solid grasp of mortgage products and regulatory rules. You will build relationships with Realtors and referral partners to grow loan volume.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree preferred.
• 2-3 years of mortgage origination experience is preferred.
• Excellent communication skills to discuss loan details with clients.
• Strong mathematical and analytical abilities and loan product knowledge.
• Knowledge of federal and NCUA mortgage lending rules.

Responsabilités

• Conduct loan interviews, discuss programs, explain processes, and request supporting documents.
• Evaluate credit and financial status of prospective borrowers.
• Pursue leads and contact prospective borrowers via phone, email, or in person.
• Evaluate borrower's credit and determine appropriate mortgage proposals.
• Apply relevant federal and NCUA mortgage lending regulations.
• Make sales calls to expand loan volume with borrowers and partners.
• Maintain knowledge of loan products, processing procedures, and underwriting guidelines.
• Prospect and network with realtors, builders, and referral partners.

Liberty FCU, a full-service credit union, is currently seeking applicants to fill a Mortgage Loan Originator role at the Henderson office located at 349 Starlite Drive, Henderson, KY 42420. The successful candidate must have excellent communication skills, attention to detail and have the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment. The ability to initiate and develop outside business to drive loan volume is required. Experience with mortgage loan sales is required.

Duties and responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:

• Conduct loan interviews, discuss programs, explain processes, and request supporting documentation for loan approval.
• Evaluate credit of prospective borrowers for qualification purposes.
• Diligently pursue leads provided.
• Contact prospective borrower leads via telephone, email, or face to face.
• Evaluate credit and financial status of prospective borrower to determine appropriate residential mortgage loan proposal.
• Understand and apply all Federal and NCUA regulatory rules and regulations associated with mortgage lending.
• Makes sales calls routinely through face to face and phone contact with borrowers, ensuring clear understanding of options and informed decisions to best suit borrower's needs.
• Maintain knowledge of available loan products, processing procedures and underwriting guidelines.
• Prospect and network, building relationships with realtors, builders and other referral partners.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree preferred.
• 2-3 years of mortgage origination experience is preferred.
• Excellent communication skills to talk to clients about loan particulars and their personal financial details.
• Excellent mathematical and statistical analysis ability.
• A sound knowledge of the terms and conditions of different kinds of loans.
• Strong logical thinking.
• Ability to keep updated on new loan reforms and laws.
• Ability to obtain federal registration/NMLS.

This position reports to the RVP of Sales or local Mortgage Sales Manager and has no direct reports.
