Job summary

Efinity Mortgage is seeking a Mortgage Loan Originator Assistant in Austin, TX to support our top-producing team. You will handle loan files from start to finish, coordinate documents, and ensure accurate submissions while delivering excellent customer service.

Ideal candidates have a solid understanding of loan options (conventional, FHA, VA), strong communication skills, and a detail-oriented approach to managing multiple files and schedules.

Qualifications

• NMLS license not required but preferred.
• Understanding of loan financing options such as conventional, FHA, VA, and fixed/adjustable loans.
• Motivated with excellent customer service and communication skills.
• Proficient with MS Office; familiarity with CRM/MLS/DU and mortgage software is a plus.
• College degree in finance or banking preferred; high school diploma or equivalent required.
• Local candidates only; relocation not provided.
• Previous mortgage experience required.
• Preferably 2–3 years of administrative support in a professional office or mortgage environment.

Responsibilities

• Follow up and respond to customer and in-house inquiries on transactions to provide superior customer service.
• Screen and make calls, book appointments, and provide administrative support as needed.
• Act as the primary contact between our clients and our company and schedule and conduct meetings to discuss follow-up issues or items that need to be addressed.
• Check all loan package documents for complete accuracy and submit any discrepancies to the loan officer/loan originator.
• Gather and coordinate necessary loan documentation for verifications and underwriting such as loan files, loan packages, credit reports, and additional mortgage application paperwork.
