Job summary

California Credit Union in San Diego seeks a Mortgage Loan Opener to initiate the loan process, review applications for accuracy, and prepare disclosures in line with TRID requirements. You will coordinate with loan officers, processors, and vendors to ensure timely file progression.

Ideal candidates have at least 2 years in mortgage processing and hands-on LOS/document management experience, with strong attention to detail and excellent customer service skills.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 2+ years in mortgage loan processing or related role.
• Experience with LOS and document management software.
• Strong understanding of TRID and lending regulations.

Responsibilities

• Review initial loan applications for accuracy and produce disclosures per TRID.
• Disclose files in accordance with TRID regulations and timelines.
• Order and prepare required documentation (credit reports, appraisals, escrow/title, insurance).
• Input loan data into LOS/AUS and review DU findings before processing.
• Maintain organized loan files and track progress against timelines.
• Coordinate with loan officers, processors, and external vendors as needed.
