Michigan First Credit Union is seeking a Mortgage Loan Officer in Plymouth, MI. You will join the Michigan First Mortgage Office and report to the Loan Center Manager.

The role focuses on advising clients through home-buying or refinancing, expanding mortgage portfolios, and ensuring accurate loan processing and closing. Successful candidates are sales-oriented with strong client service skills.

Qualifications

• High school diploma, BA in Finance, Accounting or Economics preferred.
• Previous experience in financial software or sales is a plus.
• Passion, great communication skills, self-motivation, positive and competitive attitude.
• Detail oriented.
• Ability to present information in one-on-one and small groups.
• Operate standard office equipment and financial calculations software.
• Organic lead generation and social media efficiency are essential to loan originators’ long-term prosperity.

Responsabilités

• Advise and educate clients on home-buying or refinance processes.
• Meet standards by contributing data to plans and reviews; ensure production, quality and service levels.
• Prepare credit information to establish qualifying ranges based on assets, credit, and income.
• Keep records of credit transactions, inquiries, loans, and activity.
• Develop relationships within the community, especially with real estate professionals.
• Complete mortgage loans by monitoring collection, verification, documentation and closing.
• Demonstrate excellent interpersonal and persuasive skills.
• Perform duties accurately and on time.
• Be an advocate of The Michigan First Way and EMEC in daily responsibilities.
