Job summary

We Fund LA, the Pasadena office of New American Funding, is seeking a mortgage loan officer assistant and/or processor to join a top-producing team. The role supports loan officers across the origination process in a fast-paced office.

Responsibilities include reviewing documents, coordinating verifications, communicating with clients, scheduling meetings, and maintaining file accuracy. Familiarity with Encompass is a plus, and NMLS is not required but welcomed.

Qualifications

• Understanding of loan products (conventional, FHA, VA, adjustable/fixed, etc.)
• NMLS license or training desired
• 2–3 years administrative support in a professional mortgage environment
• Strong communication and customer service in a team setting

Responsibilities

• Check loan package documents for complete accuracy and flag discrepancies to the loan officer/originator
• Gather and coordinate loan documentation for verifications and underwriting (files, packages, credit reports, application paperwork)
• Act as primary contact between clients and our company; schedule and conduct follow-up meetings
• Screen and make calls, book appointments, provide administrative support as needed
• Handle customer inquiries to ensure a smooth transaction and excellent service

We Fund LA, which is powered by New American Funding, is hiring a mortgage loan officer assistant and/or processor to join our top-producing team and assist our mortgage loan origination officers. This position requires a unique mix of sales and customer service skills, plus the ability to manage loan files from beginning to end. Effective communication skills are essential for building relationships that help us obtain future business. You must be familiar with underwriting guidelines, calculating income, loan structuring, and workflow, and familiarity with Encompass is preferred. This position is not remote and would require you to be in the office at least 4 days a week in Pasadena, CA. If you are detail-oriented, thorough, and can offer top-notch customer service,

Responsibilities:

• Check all loan package documents for complete accuracy and submit any discrepancies to the loan officer/ loan originator
• Gather and coordinate necessary loan documentation necessary for verifications and underwriting such as loan files, loan packages, credit reports, and additional mortgage application paperwork
• Act as the primary contact between our clients and our company and schedule and conduct meetings to discuss any follow-up issues or items that need to be addressed
• Screen and make calls, book appointments and provide administrative support as needed
• Handle all customer and in-house inquiries about transactions so the process is smooth and customers receive excellent service

Qualifications:

• Possess an understanding of different loan products, such as conventional loans, FHA, VA, adjustable/ fixed, commercial loans, etc.
• NMLS license or training is not required, but is desired
• Preferably 2-3 years of administrative support in a professional office or mortgage environment
• Ability to effectively work in a strong team-oriented environment and provide outstanding communication and customer service to clients
