Role Description

The Mortgage Loan Officer is a full-time, on-site role based in Troy, MI. In this position, the Mortgage Loan Officer will build and manage a pipeline of mortgage clients, conduct initial consultations, and assess borrower needs and financial profiles. Daily responsibilities include guiding borrowers through the application process, collecting and reviewing documentation, coordinating with underwriting, and presenting suitable loan products. The role involves maintaining strong customer relationships, ensuring timely communication, and supporting borrowers from initial inquiry through closing. The Mortgage Loan Officer will also collaborate with internal teams and external partners to ensure smooth, compliant, and efficient loan processing.

Qualifications

• Experience working as a Loan Officer, with a strong understanding of loan origination and borrower qualification.
• Knowledge of the Mortgage Industry, including regulations, loan products, and market trends.
• Hands-on experience in Mortgage Lending, including processing and closing residential mortgage loans.
• Familiarity with Underwriting principles, documentation requirements, and risk assessment.
• Strong Customer Service skills, with the ability to explain complex information clearly and build trust with clients.
• Relevant state licensing and NMLS registration, or eligibility to obtain required licenses.
• Proficiency with loan origination systems, basic financial analysis, and standard office software.
• Effective communication, organization, and time-management skills; ability to work in a fast-paced, on-site team environment.
• Experience in residential mortgage sales or financial services is preferred; bilingual skills are a plus.
