Role Description

The Mortgage Loan Officer is a full-time, on-site role based in Pontiac, MI. This position is responsible for generating and managing a pipeline of mortgage loan applications, guiding borrowers through each step of the lending process from initial inquiry to closing. Day-to-day activities include consulting with clients to assess their financial profiles, recommending suitable loan products, collecting and reviewing documentation, and coordinating with processors and underwriters to ensure timely approvals. The role also involves maintaining strong relationships with real estate partners, following up with leads, staying current on mortgage guidelines, and delivering clear communication to ensure a positive borrower experience. Both licensed and non-licensed candidates will receive training and support to develop in the mortgage industry.

• Additional beneficial qualifications include sales or financial services experience, proficiency with loan origination systems, strong analytical and math skills, and the ability to meet performance goals.
• A high school diploma or equivalent is required; a college degree in business, finance, or a related field is preferred but not mandatory.
• Current mortgage loan officer license (NMLS) is a plus; candidates willing to pursue licensing are encouraged to apply.
