Job summary

National Exchange Bank & Trust is seeking a Mortgage Loan Officer to originate and service residential mortgage, construction, lot, refinance, and home equity lending products. You will partner with customers from application through closing, ensuring compliance with bank policies and regulatory requirements.

You will cultivate referral sources, develop new business opportunities, and represent NEBAT in the community to support growth and exceptional customer service.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in finance or a related field.
• 4-5 years of banking experience or equivalent combination of education and experience with secondary market loans and formal credit training.
• Interpersonal skills to build relationships and communicate with internal and external customers.

Position Summary

The Mortgage Loan Officer is responsible for originating and servicing residential mortgage, construction, lot, refinance, and home equity lending products. This role partners with customers throughout the lending process, from application through closing, while ensuring compliance with bank policies and regulatory requirements. The Mortgage Loan Officer also cultivates referral sources, develops new business opportunities, and represents NEBAT in the community to support continued growth and exceptional customer service.

Essential Knowledge & Skills

• Bachelor's degree in finance or a related field.
• 4-5 years of banking experience or equivalent combination of education and experience with secondary market loans and formal credit training.
• Interpersonal skills to build relationships and communicate with internal and external customers.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks and deadlines with urgency and accuracy.
