Job summary

West Capital Lending is seeking a motivated Loan Officer to join our growing remote team focused on Michigan clients. You will manage the loan process from application through closing in a virtual environment, originating Conventional, FHA, VA, and Non-QM loans.

The ideal candidate will have an active NMLS license, 1+ year experience in lending, and strong knowledge of mortgage products and underwriting guidelines.

Qualifications

• Active NMLS license required.
• At least 1 year of experience as a Loan Officer or Mortgage Loan Originator.
• Knowledge of mortgage products and underwriting guidelines.
• Strong communication, sales, and relationship-building skills.
• Ability to work independently in a remote environment.
• Proficient with loan origination systems and digital documentation.

Responsibilities

• Originate residential mortgage loans, including Conventional, FHA, VA, and Non-QM product.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, real estate agents, and referral partner.
• Guide borrowers through the loan application process and provide clear, timely communication.
• Analyze borrower financials to recommend appropriate loan products.
• Ensure all loan files meet federal, state, and investor compliance requirement.
• Collaborate with processing and underwriting teams to ensure smooth and timely closings.
• Stay up to date on lending guidelines, market trends, and interest rate changes.
