Job summary

Fairway Independent Mortgage Corporation in Franklin, TN seeks a Mortgage Loan Officer to consult with prospective borrowers, assess financing needs, and recommend suitable mortgage products. You will originate and process loan applications, gather borrower documents, and coordinate with underwriting to keep closings timely.

You will build lasting client relationships, explain loan terms clearly, and guide customers through the loan lifecycle.

Qualifications

• Experience working as a Loan Officer or in a related mortgage origination role.
• Knowledge of the Mortgage Industry and current lending regulations.
• Skills in Mortgage Lending, including loan structuring and product selection.
• Familiarity with Underwriting concepts and ability to prepare complete, accurate loan files.
• Strong Customer Service skills with the ability to communicate clearly and build trust.
• Proven ability to meet production goals while maintaining high ethical standards.
• Excellent interpersonal, negotiation, and problem-solving abilities.
• Comfort working with loan origination systems and standard office software.
• High school diploma or equivalent required; college coursework in finance, business, or a related field is beneficial.
• Relevant state licensing and NMLS registration as required, or ability to obtain them promptly.
