Blaze is seeking a Mortgage Loan Officer in Falcon Heights, MN to educate and counsel members seeking real estate loans. You will gather paperwork, prequalify applicants, and guide them through the origination process while delivering exceptional member service.
You will interview applicants, discuss loan options, and work with the processing team to keep members informed on status and disclosures. Strong communication and a focus on relationships are essential.
Role: This position is responsible for educating and counseling members and prospective members seeking a real estate loan to advance Blaze growth objectives through the Preferred Way of Selling. This position is also responsible for completing the loan application, gathering the necessary paperwork, and prequalifying members to facilitate the loan origination process. Mortgage Loan Officer’s must also exemplify superior member service and build positive member relationships. This position also acts as a resource to the credit union staff and members by displaying knowledge and expertise in the real estate field.

Facilitates the real estate lending process to deliver Blaze products, promote positive member relationships and meet Blaze’s mortgage lending objectives.
Ability to proactively respond to members/employees to problem solve based on guidelines; written communications are based on templates but can be modified.
Ability to sit and stand; answer calls; operate computer; interact with internal employees and members on the phone; travel to designated offices; lift up to 20 lbs.

We are committed to providing salary ranges for all open positions. Please note that the specific compensation for this role will be determined based on your experience, qualifications, location, and internal equity considerations. The salary range for this position is: $28.50-$34.00/hour + monthly incentive plan for additional earning potential. This range reflects the base salary for this position. We have other benefits associated with this position which include: low-cost medical (as low as $20 a paycheck), dental insurance, vision insurance, quarterly bonuses, generous vacation and sick time hours, paid leave options, up to 6% 401k contribution, and tuition reimbursement.
