Job summary

Blaze Credit Union in Falcon Heights, MN, is seeking a versatile Mortgage Administrative Specialist to support Mortgage Loan Officers. The role handles applications, pipeline follow-up, file management, and document review in a fast-paced environment.

Requirements include a high school diploma, 2–3 years in finance, and an MLO qualifier; English-Hmong bilingual preferred. On-site position with competitive benefits and salary within the stated hourly range.

Responsibilities

• Assign all incoming mortgage applications daily.

• Manage Mortgage Loan Officer’s prospect, pending and pre-purchase folders daily.
• Assist Mortgage Loan Officer with purchase agreement review.
• Manage Mortgage Sales referrals and assign to appropriate staff.
• Handle incoming/outgoing daily mail for Loan Officers.
• Scan/upload documents from members to Encompass.
• Manage incoming faxes and emails for Mortgage Sales.

Description

Role: Serves a multi-skilled role involving assisting Mortgage Loan Officers.

Job Type: Full-time, on-site at our Larpenteur Administrative office in Falcon Heights, MN

Major Duties And Responsibilities

• Assign all incoming mortgage applications daily.
• Follow-up on pre-approval pipeline for Loan Officers on a weekly basis
• Manage Mortgage Loan Officer’s prospect, pending and pre-purchase folders daily
• Assist Mortgage Loan Officer with purchase agreement review
• Manage Mortgage Sales referrals and assign to appropriate employee.
• Manage the incoming and outgoing daily mail for Loan Officers
• Scan and upload incoming docs from members to Encompass.
• Manage all incoming faxes and emails for Mortgage Sales.

Other Duties

• Comply with applicable laws and regulations, including but not limited to, the Bank Secrecy Act, the Patriot Act, and the Office of Foreign Assets Control

Requirements

Experience/Education/Certifications/Licenses

• Minimum High School degree or equivalent.
• Minimum 2-3 years similar or related financial experience.
• Required to obtain or possess a Mortgage Loan Originator (MLO) qualifier (i.e. NMLS).
• Bilingual in English and Hmong preferred

Demonstrated Knowledge

• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Computer skills including Microsoft products.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks.
• Knowledge of Encompass a plus.

Communication Skills

Ability to proactively respond to members/employees to problem solve based on guidelines; written communications are based on templates but can be modified.

Physical Requirements

Ability to sit and stand; answer calls; operate computer; interact with internal employees and members on the phone; travel to designated offices; lift up to 20 lbs.

The starting salary range for this position is: $28.56-$32.50/hour. This range reflects the base starting salary for this position. We have other benefits associated with this position which include: low-cost medical (as low as $20 a paycheck), dental insurance, vision insurance, quarterly bonuses, generous vacation and sick time hours, paid leave options, up to 6% 401k contribution, and tuition reimbursement.
