Role Description

This full-time Mortgage Loan Officer role is a hybrid position based in Addison, TX, with a mix of in-office and work-from-home flexibility. The Mortgage Loan Officer will originate residential mortgage loans, guide borrowers through the application and approval process, and provide clear explanations of loan options, terms, and requirements. Daily responsibilities include assessing borrower eligibility, collecting and reviewing documentation, coordinating with underwriting and processing teams, and ensuring loans comply with regulatory and company standards. The role also involves building and maintaining relationships with real estate partners and referral sources, proactively managing a pipeline of loans, and delivering responsive, professional customer service. The Mortgage Loan Officer will use Click n Close’s technology platforms to track applications, communicate with clients, and move loans efficiently from origination to closing.

Qualifications

• Experience as a Loan Officer or in a comparable mortgage origination role, with a solid understanding of loan products and processes.
• Knowledge of the Mortgage Industry and Mortgage Lending practices, including regulatory requirements and secondary market guidelines.
• Familiarity with Underwriting principles and documentation standards to effectively prepare files and collaborate with underwriting teams.
• Strong Customer Service skills, with the ability to communicate clearly, manage expectations, and support borrowers throughout the lending journey.
• Active NMLS license (or eligibility to obtain), and prior experience in residential mortgage lending preferred.
• Proficiency with loan origination systems and basic office software; comfort working with digital tools and online platforms.
• Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and the ability to manage multiple files and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Effective interpersonal and negotiation skills, with the ability to build and sustain productive relationships with clients and referral partners.
• High level of integrity, commitment to fair lending practices, and adherence to company policies and regulatory requirements.
