Job summary

Wellby Financial is seeking a Mortgage Loan Officer to guide members through the mortgage process from application to closing. You will evaluate financial data, present loan options, and ensure compliance with lending guidelines while delivering exceptional member service.

The role requires strong communication, accuracy, and the ability to work with compliance and underwriting teams to meet conditions and close loans locally across the Texas area.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of mortgage or lending experience.
• Strong knowledge of conventional and government mortgage guidelines.
• Ability to travel locally and maintain a Texas driver’s license.
• NMLS registration per SAFE Act requirements.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.

Responsibilities

• Meet with prospective and current member borrowers to discuss financing needs.
• Review and analyze credit and financial data; determine financing objectives.
• Explain loan options, terms, and requirements; present appropriate products.
• Coordinate with compliance and underwriting to meet conditions and close loans.
• Maintain ongoing communication with members through the application and closing process.
