Job summary

Qualifications

Minimum 5 years in mortgage lending or related banking.
At least 2 years of leadership or supervisory experience.
Strong knowledge of residential lending processes and underwriting.
Familiar with lending regulations and risk management practices.
Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business, or related field preferred.

Responsibilities

Oversee daily operations of the lending department and assigned team members.
Lead, coach, and develop lending and support staff to meet goals and service standards.
Review loan applications and make lending decisions within authority levels.
Evaluate loan files and determine actions such as approvals or denials.
Ensure compliance with applicable lending regulations and policies.
Monitor pipelines, workflow, productivity, and KPIs.
Assist in resolving escalated member or customer concerns.
Develop relationships with internal and external partners.
Analyze financial information, credit data, and risk factors.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams on process improvements and training.
Promote adherence to policies and ethical lending practices.
Prepare performance reports and communicate trends to leadership.
