Job summary

M/I Homes, based in Columbus, Ohio, offers a Mortgage Intern position with rotation through M/I Financial’s core functions. The program provides hands-on learning across Secondary Marketing, Financial Services, Compliance & Quality Control, Underwriting, Warehouse and Funding, and Post Closing with weekly training sessions.

The intern will receive guidance from senior team members and corporate leadership, participate in department meetings, and gain real-world experience in the mortgage process

Qualifications

• Ideal candidate is working toward a bachelor’s or associate degree in Finance or Business Administration, or related field.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.

Responsibilities

• Learn through rotation across Secondary Marketing, Financial Services, Compliance & Quality Control, Underwriting, Warehouse and Funding, and Post Closing.
• Provide first-class service, participate in project assignments, mentoring and job shadowing.
• Develop onboarding checklists for new hires in various functions and departments.
• Support active projects and initiatives with project management assistance and documentation.
