Job summary

U.S. Bank seeks a Mortgage Loan Originator to originate loans in an assigned non-bank territory, take applications, and conduct preliminary underwriting reviews. You will submit loan packages for processing and ensure documentation is complete for closing.

The role requires extensive travel away from U.S. Bank locations, roughly 50% of the time. Candidates should have NMLS registration, a high school degree or equivalent, and 2+ years in mortgage, sales, or real estate.

Qualifications

• Must have NMLS registration and comply with SAFÉ Act and Regulation Z.
• High school degree or equivalent required.
• Two or more years of Mortgage, Sales, or Real Estate experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Originate mortgage loans in an assigned Non-Bank territory.
• Take applications and conduct preliminary underwriting reviews.
• Submit loan applications to processing and underwriting for approval.
• Ensure required documents are secured for processing, underwriting, and closing.
• Regularly engage in sales activities away from U.S. Bank locations (≈50% travel).
