Job summary

dfhextcareersite is seeking a Mortgage Funder to ensure all loan documentation is accurate, complete, and compliant with regulations and company policies. You will work with loan officers, underwriters, processors, and closers to facilitate timely funding of mortgage loans.

Responsibilities include reviewing documents for accuracy, coordinating with stakeholders, ensuring regulatory compliance, preparing funding documents, and maintaining organized records.

Qualifications

• Education requirements: high school diploma or equivalent; associate's or bachelor's in finance or business preferred.
• Minimum 2 years of experience in mortgage funding, underwriting, or related role.
• Strong knowledge of mortgage lending regulations and compliance requirements; proficient in processing software and MS Office; excellent attention to detail and communication.

Responsibilities

• Review and verify loan documents for accuracy and completeness, including applications, credit reports, income verification, and title reports.
• Coordinate with loan officers, underwriters, processors, closers, and closing agents to resolve issues and discrepancies; communicate with borrowers for additional documents.
• Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations and company policies; stay updated on industry regulations.
• Prepare and process loan funding documents; approve disbursement of funds; verify funding calculations and ensure timely funding.
• Maintain accurate records of funding activities and documentation; organize and store files per policy.
• Identify and resolve issues during funding; provide customer service to borrowers; escalate delays to Closing Management.
