Job summary

Bellwether Staffing Solutions is seeking a Mortgage Compliance Specialist for a leading mortgage lender. The role offers flexibility to work remote, hybrid, or in-office, with the Stamford, CT office serving as a reference point.

Hours are Mon–Fri 9:00am–5:30pm EST and base pay ranges from 75K to 90K plus benefits. You will oversee internal compliance functions, coordinate with QC vendors, monitor licensing, and support regulatory examinations.

Responsibilities

• Oversee internal compliance functions including QC and vendor coordination.
• Coordinate and monitor compliance training for employees.
• Track regulatory updates and communicate requirements to management.
• Manage licenses renewals for company, branches, and MLOs.
• Assist with regulatory examinations, MCR, HMDA filings.
• Review marketing materials to ensure regulatory compliance.

Job description

We are currently recruiting for a Mortgage Compliance Specialist for a leading mortgage lender and mortgage broker. This role can be flexible depending on location (remote, hybrid or in-office). The office is based in Stamford, CT. Hours are Mon - Fri 9:00am - 5:30pm EST. Comp package 75K - 90K Base + Benefits Package

Responsibilities:

• Oversee the Company's internal compliance functions, including Quality Control (QC). Coordinate with third-party QC vendor to submit loan files, review findings, obtain final reports, analyze results, and present findings and recommendations to management.
• Coordinate and monitor compliance training to ensure employees remain current with applicable regulatory requirements.
• Track regulatory updates and changes, assess their impact on the company, and communicate applicable requirements to management and staff.
• Manage company, branch, and Mortgage Loan Originator (MLO) license renewals and related compliance requirements.
• Work with management on regulatory examinations, Mortgage Call Reports (MCR), HMDA reporting, and other regulatory filings.
• Review marketing materials, website content, social media, and electronic communications to ensure compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and company policies.

Requirements:

• Must have working knowledge of mortgage lending regulations and compliance requirements.
• Knowledge of mortgage advertising and marketing compliance, including website and social media requirements.
• Ability to work independently, exercise sound judgment, and manage multiple responsibilities.
• Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and follow-through.

This role can be flexible depending on location (remote, hybrid or in-office). The office is based in Stamford, CT (local candidates preferred but open to fully remote in US). Hours are Mon - Fri 9:00am - 5:30pm EST. Comp package 75K - 90K Base + Benefits Package
