Job summary

Western Alliance Bank seeks a Compliance Assistant Manager on a contract‑to‑hire basis. You will provide guidance on regulatory changes, oversee mortgage compliance risks, and conduct impact assessments across lines of business.

You’ll work with stakeholders to develop risk management guidance, support compliance programs, and lead risk assessments in the GRC platform. Strong Excel/PowerPoint and MS Office skills are required; CRCM is a plus.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of regulatory compliance, risk, internal audit, or related work.
• Bachelor’s degree preferred but not required.
• Leadership experience preferred.
• Mortgage origination operations knowledge is essential.
• Ability to assess compliance with federal/state statutes and agency requirements.

Responsibilities

• Provide advice and oversight on regulatory compliance risks and control effectiveness.
• Lead risk assessments, CC&RA, and issue reviews with clear rationale.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to identify and communicate compliance risks.
• Develop and implement compliance policies, practices, and tools.
• May lead a team including hiring, coaching, and performance management.
