Job summary

Pennymac, a leading mortgage services firm, is seeking a Collateral Management Specialist to review collateral files and ensure enforceability for loans purchased by Pennymac. You will serve as a key contact on collateral procurement projects and support vendors and internal teams in resolving issues.

The role requires 2+ years in mortgage or finance, familiarity with collateral documents, and ability to train others. Proficiency in Microsoft Office is expected. OFFICE work model.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of mortgage or finance industry experience, preferably in loan servicing and in a high paced, customer service oriented operation.
• Familiar with the collateral documents files (i.e. note, mortgage, related riders and addendums, assignments, title insurance policy, etc.)
• Ability to be trained and train on various Collateral Management related tasks
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Visio)

Responsibilities

• Be responsible for the collateral review process of newly boarded purchased loans
• Complete and resolve escalated collateral reviews and exception resolutions
• Assist in working with sellers on clearing or curing of collateral issues on purchased loans
• Report collateral exceptions to sellers and internal departments
• Work with Foreclosure Attorneys to obtain active Bailee letters
• Place collateral document orders with vendors
• Create collateral documents (i.e. Allonges, Endorsements, etc.)
• Actively participate in the maintenance of departmental policies and procedures
• Perform other related duties as required and assigned
