Job summary

FHLB Dallas is seeking a motivated intern to gain hands-on experience in collateral services within a financial services environment in Irving, TX. You will explore mortgage products used as collateral, valuation practices, and warehouse lending concepts.

The internship offers exposure to loan documentation, collateral analysis, and reporting, with mentored guidance from mortgage industry experts and a focus on professional development.

Qualifications

Pursuing a bachelor’s degree with a concentration in accounting, finance, or real estate.
Self-starter with strong problem solving and analytical skills.
Organized and highly detail-oriented; team player with a strong work ethic and professional demeanor.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills; ability to listen and take instruction.
Proficient in Microsoft Office applications including Excel, Word, and Power Point.
Knowledge of SQL, Power BI, or Power Automate is a plus.

Responsibilities

Learn about loan documentation, asset valuation, and secured lending practices for collateral.
Analyze the Bank’s collateral and examine loan documents for various mortgage loan types.
Create and review reports of value for the department and the Bank.
