The FHLBs provide readily available, low-cost funding to members thereby increasing the availability of credit for residential mortgage lending and investment in housing and community development. This unique experience will expose you in a short period of time to a wide range of mortgage products utilized as collateral to secure funding, as well as an understanding of various collateral valuation practices.Areas of Focus:Collateral Services - Gain a wealth of knowledge from mortgage industry experts with extensive experience in mortgage underwriting and lending practices. This department is responsible for conducting loan reviews; validating lending policies and practices of our member institutions; and, for perfecting the Bank's security interest on collateral pledged to the Bank to secure borrowings.In this position, you will learn about loan documentation, asset valuation, secured lending practices and warehouse lending.
