Job summary

First Tech Federal Credit Union is seeking a Mortgage Closing Associate II in Hillsboro, OR. The role involves preparing loan documents for purchase, refinance, and HELOC, receiving final executed documents, and funding loans. Hybrid work arrangement in Hillsboro.

Candidate should have at least 2 years of mortgage closing/escrow experience, strong time management and communication skills, and proficiency with Microsoft Office. Familiarity with Encompass is preferred.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years’ experience in mortgage closing and/or escrow.
• Ability to manage time effectively and prioritize to meet deadlines.
• Ability to communicate clearly (verbal and written) with all levels within the organization.
• Ability to work as a self-starter who is highly organized and works well independently or in a team.
• Proven attention to detail.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite.
• Familiarity with Encompass is preferred.
• Minimum Education: High School Diploma.

The Mortgage Closing Associate II works independently to prepare loan documents for purchase, refinance and home equity line of credit. The Associate II also receives final executed loan documents and funds loans.

What You’ll Do

• Prepare and review loan application packages for completeness and accuracy, reconcile application against system input and send to title and escrow
• Balance loans with escrow and fund loans on time
• Work with Monetary for outgoing and incoming wires
• Research and resolve member issues including timely response to Early Check and Desktop Underwriter warnings
• Act as main point of contact for funders and/or members
• Responsible for testing and validation of system enhancement

Essential Skills

• Minimum 2 years’ experience in mortgage closing and/or escrow; direct bill subsidy and construction experience is preferred
• Ability to work autonomously to manage time effectively and prioritize work appropriately to meet deadlines
• Ability to communicate clearly (verbal and written) with all levels within organization
• Ability to operate as a self-starter who is highly organized and works well independently or within a team environment
• Proven attention to detail
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite
• Familiarity with Encompass is preferred

Location: Hillsboro Corporate Office - Hillsboro, OR 97124 (HYBRID)

Target Compensation: $24.50 to 27.50 per hour + monthly incentive
