Job summary

Weichert Financial Services in Maryland/Virginia is seeking a Mortgage Advisor who helps clients achieve homeownership. The role goes beyond loan origination, leveraging leads from multiple sources and meeting with agents and referral partners.

You will prequalify prospects, issue pre-approvals, stay in contact during home search, and guide customers through closing, while collaborating with the Office Manager to convert leads.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• State LO license(s) required for states where mortgage activity occurs.
• 1–3 years of retail mortgage origination experience preferred.
• Ability to determine rate quotes and maximum qualification amounts per investor guidelines.
• Knowledge of investor guidelines and ability to apply them to sales scenarios.
• Strong communication, presentation, and multitasking skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and the proprietary mortgage software.

Responsibilities

• Develop relationships with customers, realtors, builders, attorneys, and referral partners.
• Generate leads from various sources and follow up on them.
• Issue fully assessed pre-approvals and complete qualification process.
• Submit complete mortgage loan applications for underwriting review.
• Maintain CRM and update lead portals regularly.
• Ensure compliance with applicable laws and investor guidelines.
• Collaborate with Office Manager to convert leads and support sales teams.
