Job summary

Primary Residential Mortgage is seeking a Loan Officer to proactively solicit new residential mortgage clients and build a strong referral network. You will analyze borrowers' financial data to determine creditworthiness and the probability of repayment success.

You will originate loans by contacting prospective clients, meet clients outside the office, and maintain relationships with realtors and brokers. Strong communication and compliance knowledge are essential to succeed.

Qualifications

• Sales experience in the mortgage industry is preferred.
• Familiarity with mortgage processes, procedures, rules, regulations, and compliance.
• Exceptional customer service skills with a strong attention to detail.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong computer skills to include MS Office.

Responsibilities

• Originates own sales by contacting prospective clients.
• Develops and maintains referral sources.
• Spends time outside of the office to originate loans.
• Meets with prospective clients at various locations.
• Analyzes borrower financial data to determine creditworthiness.
• Obtains and reviews necessary documentation for applications.
• Develops relationships with realtors, builders, bankers, and brokers.
• Engages in marketing and promotional activities for own sales.
